The Power of Community: A Southern Story is a compelling art exhibition that delves into the deep-rooted traditions, resilience, and cultural richness of Southern communities. Showcasing a diverse collection of works—including paintings, photography, and multimedia.
The exhibition highlights the unique narratives, shared histories, and collective spirit that define the South. Through themes of heritage, storytelling, activism, and togetherness, The Power of Community exhibit celebrates the strength found in unity and the enduring influence of Southern culture on art, resistance, and social change.
ELIGIBILITY
This is a juried show in celebration of The Power of Community and the Power of Place. All southern artists are welcomed to apply. Submitted works should be related to the show theme. Rarely displayed or new artwork is encouraged. Priority placement will be given to members of 21 Dreams Arts & Culture and Alabama natives. No size restrictions. All original paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media or sculptures. Artwork must be on stretched canvas, matted or framed and properly wired for hanging.

Be prepared to upload your resume or biography and up to five images of your work, which you would like to submit for the show. Please rename the images to the artwork title to prevent confusion. There is no entry fee.
